Vol. 243 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Schemes.

24.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position in regard to the Ballywilliam-Ballyboy group water scheme, County Offaly.

The yield of the dug well for this scheme has now proved adequate and the bacteriological test on the water is in order. If the water passes the chemical test being carried out by Offaly County Council on behalf of the group a design for the scheme will be commissioned.

25.

asked the Minister for Local Government if the new proposals submitted to his Department by the Kerry County Council in connection with the Ardfert water scheme have been examined; and, if so, if he is in a position to state when the proposed scheme will be carried out.

Revised proposals for this scheme, recently submitted by the county council, are being examined in my Department and I hope to convey a decision in the matter shortly.
