The Merchandise Marks (No. 2) Bill, 1969, introduced last October, provides for the making of orders requiring that quantity of contents be marked on prepacked goods and that goods be sold in standard quantities.
I intend to introduce as soon as possible a further and comprehensive measure of consumer protection covering matters such as price indications, advertising and product information.
