Vol. 244 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Estate Lighting.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that on the Clonkeen estate, Dean's Grange, County Dublin where there are approximately 1,000 houses there is no proper public lighting; and if in view of the large population on the estate the local authority will arrange to have adequate public lighting provided.

The provision of public lighting on an estate is a matter for arrangement between the developers of the estate and the local authority concerned. There is no information in my Department about the problem referred to by the Deputy but I have asked Dublin County Council for a report in the matter and I will communicate with the Deputy.
