Improvement works are at present being carried out at 20 fishing ports and fish landing places. Works at a further 28 places will be commenced as soon as the necessary arrangements are completed by the Office of Public Works. Suggestions for improvement works at 104 additional places are at various stages of examination but until the examination of each case is completed I could not say whether the particular work involved will be undertaken.
