Vol. 248 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork School.

35.

asked the Minister for Education if he will state when it is proposed to start the building of the long-awaited and much-needed new primary school at Cloyne, County Cork.

The position with regard to the proposed new national school at Cloyne, County Cork, is that my Department has instructed the manager to employ his own architect to prepare sketch plans for the erection of the new building and to submit them for approval. If the sketch plans are considered to be satisfactory, my Department will then sanction a grant towards the cost of the new school and the further arrangements for its erection will proceed.

I am not in a position to say, at this stage, when building operations will commence.
