The Industrial Development Authority have been giving special attention to the attraction of industry to Portlaoise and other midland towns and these efforts are continuing. The Deputy must realise, however, that the ultimate selection of the location for an industrial undertaking is a matter for the promoters themselves. It is for local interests, therefore, to continue their efforts to attract private enterprise to set up industries and they can be assured of my constant vigilance and co-operation in this regard.
