Vol. 248 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Meath Housing Schemes.

81.

Mr. Conlan

andMr. Fox asked the Minister for Local Government the present position regarding the proposed housing scheme for Drumconrath, County Meath.

I am awaiting Meath County Council's proposal to accept a tender for this scheme. The scheme was approved by me last April.

82.

asked the Minister for Local Government what proposals if any, there are before his Department for the provision of houses at Crossakill, Kells, County Meath.

There are no such proposals before my Department.

There is a great housing shortage in that district. Would the Parliamentary Secretary impress on the Meath County Council—of which I am not a member—to get down to work and get on with this urgent job without any more delay?

Even if the Deputy is not a member of the Meath County Council, he might succeed in saying a word in the ears of some of the members of that council.
