In June last a letter was received in my Department from Galway County Council indicating that the council had adopted a resolution asking the Department of Local Government and Bord Fáilte for a grant towards the cost of a proposed bridge at Kilbeg and requesting the Minister's decision in the matter. The county council was informed that consideration of the request for a grant must await the receipt of full information relative to the proposal. No further communication has been received from the county council about the matter.
