The costs shown above include, in each case, the cost of envelopes. The despatch of the cards is integrated into the normal routine duties of the staff of my office and the cost of staff time is not, therefore, included.
The cost of Christmas greetings cards sent by the Parliamentary Secretary arose only in 1968 and was borne by the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.
