My Department considered the question of amalgamating the boys' and girls' schools in Ferbane and decided against amalgamation as the averages in each school are now sufficient to sustain a staff of five teachers.
As the attendance at these schools now warrants the employment of five teachers at each school it is not proposed to proceed with the amalgamation of them.
