asked the Minister for Finance if he will state as of 1 January, 1971, the number of general, professional and technical and departmental civil servants and the number of industrial employees.

asked the Minister for Finance the cost of granting pension parity this year to all retired civil servants.

The annual cost of bringing all public service pensions up to parity with those based on current pay levels, including the cost of the increases announced in the Budget statement, would be about £4.2 million of which about £0.7 million relates to the pensions of retired civil servants.
