No proposal regarding a housing loan numbered 666 is before my Department. The county council have, however, recently submitted proposals for four loans for rural cottages which are under consideration. A decision on the proposals will be given as soon as possible. In the meantime, the construction of isolated rural cottages which are urgently required should not be held up, as I sanctioned loan accommodation amounting to £95,000 for the council's cottage building programme on 1st April, 1971.
