asked the Minister for Labour what formal or informal committees are at present in existence in his Department; the terms of reference of such committees; when they were set up; the cost to date; and when it is expected that the reports of such committees will be available.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Departmental Committees.
40.
The only such committee in my Department is the Advisory Committee on Emigrants' Services.
The terms of reference are:—
to advise on the employment problems of Irish workers who are working abroad or who may be contemplating leaving the country for work.
The Committee was set up in October, 1969.
The cost up to 31st March, 1971, was £7,354.
The Committee has submitted an interim report and a further report is expected shortly.
I have assumed that the Deputy is not concerned with bodies, e.g., Joint Labour Committees, which have continuing functions.
