It has been decided that riders and horses of the Army Equitation School will be made available to form mixed teams to be selected by the National Equestrian Federation of Ireland for the international horse shows to be held at Hickstead (in England), London, Dublin, Ostend and Rotterdam on various dates between mid-July and early September 1971. The question of attending further international horse shows after that at Rotterdam will be considered later this year in conjunction with the National Equestrian Federation of Ireland.
It is also expected that riders and horses of the school will be available to compete at a three-day event at Burghley, England, in September next.
In addition to the international programme it is hoped to attend thirteen provincial shows and one three day event in this country as well as a number of gymkanas in and around Dublin.
