I am advised that the cenotaph does not require cleaning at present.
Would the Parliamentary Secretary allow a group of voluntary workers to do the work for him?
I assure the Deputy the monument will be kept under observation and will be cleaned as soon as cleaning is considered necessary. Regilding of the flame cross will also be considered at that time.

I must accept the advice of the experts in my Department. The advice I have is that it does not require cleaning at present.
