Vol. 256 No. 4

Written Answers. - Finglas (Dublin) Golf Course.

315.

asked the Minister for Local Government what steps have been taken to ensure that the facilities of Erin's Isle pitch and putt course are not interfered with by road developments in the area of Finglas west, Dublin.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to his Parliamentary Question No. 168 answered on 29th July, 1971. A proposal has now been submitted by Dublin Corporation for a housing scheme road linking the proposed new housing development in the Finglas west-Tolka Valley area with the existing Finglas west road network. I have asked the corporation to reconsider the line of the central section of the proposed road so as to avoid any interference with the existing amenities of the Erin's Isle pitch-and-putt course, and also to discourage the possible use of this housing road as a general by-pass in the area.
