Two fosterage schools are conducted under the auspices of Gaelachas Teoranta and grants are made available to them on the same basis as that applicable to national schools generally. The organisation also conducts Irish courses during summer each year and instruction fees are paid in respect of them in accordance with the approved rates.
Is the Minister aware that according to a recent Press report this company is in financial trouble and does the Minister intend to take any steps to ensure the continuation of its good work in restoring the Irish language?
I have pointed out that grants are available in a certain form and there is nothing more I can do.
