Vol. 265 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Hospital Overcrowding.

27.

asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a report (details supplied) regarding the conditions of serious overcrowding in parts of Saint Brendan's Hospital and that one section of the hospital presents a serious fire hazard; if he is yet in a position to state what proposals there are for the future of this hospital; and what immediate plans can be put into action to relieves the present overcrowding and make this hospital a safer place for patients.

My attention has been drawn to this report.

I am aware that parts of St. Brendan's Hospital are in need of improvement, but this is primarily a matter for the Eastern Health Board. However, I am taking a personal interest in the matter.
