asked the Minister for Education the nature of the control, if any, which he exercises in the matter of education for the legal profession.

Mr. R. Burke
Under section 40 of the Solicitors Act, 1954, a person may not be appointed examiner in the Irish language in the examinations conducted by the Incorporated Law Society of Ireland save with the approval of the Minister for Education. This is the extent of the control which I exercise in the education of the legal profession.
