The analysis of trends in incomes and prices is carried on in my Department on a continuous basis. A current analysis may be found in the Review of 1972 and Outlook for 1973, and in my financial statement on the budget to which I would refer the Deputy.
Statements of the Government's employment, regional and incomes policies are given in the National Coalition's Fourteen Point Programme, and in my financial statement. The Taoiseach has said that the Government will do all in their power to encourage free competition.
