The control of car parking is a matter for the Garda Commissioner and the local authority concerned, subject to the relevant bye-laws and rules made under the Road Traffic Acts.
Would the Parliamentary Secretary say if the Government would consider making grants available to the local authority for the provision of multiple-storey car parks?
I would have to receive proposals from Dublin Corporation and the Garda Commissioner to consider that.
