asked the Minister for Justice if it is his intention to introduce legislation to update and modify the whole area of family law; and if he will outline any plans he has in this regard.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 126 and 127 together.
I have recently received from the Committee on Court Practice and Procedure their Nineteenth Interim Report dealing with desertion and maintenance. The report requires to be submitted to the Government before being published and I am arranging for this to be done without delay.
As to the other matters mentioned, I would refer the Deputy to the speech which I made in this House on 12th February in connection with my Department's Estimates.
