I have asked An Bord Altranais to examine the feasibility of the establishment of a single central bureau to assist persons seeking places in training schools for student nurses. The board have agreed to do this and I am awaiting their observations in the matter.
Married women are not debarred from seeking places in such training schools.
May I ask the Minister whether there is an age limit and also when does he think the board will be able to give a recommendation?
I cannot say when the board will give a recommendation because unfortunately the chief executive officer is indisposed at present.
