The development of a programme for the ports depends on the outcome of the study being undertaken by An Foras Forbartha on my behalf. This study, which will indicate the harbour requirements for the country's seaborne trade over the next 15 years, is scheduled for completion towards the end of the year.
When does the Minister expect some final conclusion on this matter?
The position is the same as I told the Deputy in May when he asked a similar question: I do not expect to reach any final conclusion until I get the report which I will not be receiving, as I then told him and I am telling him again, before the end of this year.
