I have had inquiries made from Bord na Móna and I understand that the actions complained of by the Deputy are not taking place on bogs owned by the board. I have no control over other bogs but if the Deputy lets me have particulars of cases, where bogs are being misued, I will look into them to see what measures, if any, can be applied.
The Land Commission own a lot of bog. Machinery is being brought in and leaving holes here and there in bogs and destroying them.
Is the Deputy saying these are Land Commission bogs?
Some of them would be Land Commission bogs which they would have let to people.
As I said in my reply to Deputy Gibbons, if somebody lets me have particulars of cases where bogs are being misused I will look into them.
