A letter dated 31st October, 1974, from the Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industry was received in my Department on 1st November, 1974. I regret that because of staff changes this letter and a subsequent reminder were mislaid until recently and that a reply did not issue until 10th January, 1975. I can assure the Deputy that measures have been taken to safeguard against any recurrence of delays of this nature.
