Local authorities were not requested to submit proposals for assistance under the amenity grants scheme in 1975. However, at 30th December, 1974,—the date of issue of my Department's circular letter notifying local authorities that no new allocations were being made for 1975 —the following proposals under the scheme had been received from local authorities:
