asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give a breakdown of applications for amenity grants by each local authority area in respect of 1975 which had been received by him before the announcement of the withdrawal of the scheme.

Local authorities were not requested to submit proposals for assistance under the amenity grants scheme in 1975. However, at 30th December, 1974,—the date of issue of my Department's circular letter notifying local authorities that no new allocations were being made for 1975 —the following proposals under the scheme had been received from local authorities:
