andMr. Gogan asked the Minister for Local Government the contribution, if any, the Government are making to European Architectural Heritage Year, 1975.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Architectural Heritage Year.
The overall planning and co-ordination of the Irish contribution to European Architectural Heritage Year, 1975, has been entrusted to a national committee which was set up in June, 1973. As I indicated in reply to a question by Deputy Lemass on Wednesday, 22nd January, information about the campaign may be obtained from the Secretary of the National Committee, c/o An Foras Forbartha, St. Martin's House, Waterloo Road, Dublin 4. I am arranging for this information to be supplied to the Deputies. An amount of £30,000, over three years, has been provided in my Department's Vote to meet the expenses of the committee. In addition, I might mention that the Office of Public Works are undertaking a number of special projects of restoration and conservation to mark the year.
