The benefit of the EEC monetary and prices package to the Irish agricultural sector is estimated at £60 million in a full year, or approximately £45 million in the calendar year 1975. The cost to agricultural employers of granting a wage increase of £2.80 per week from 1st March would be approximately £3.3 million for 1975.
