Reduction of the age qualification for a blind person's pension from 21 years to 18 years is not at present contemplated. However, I would point out to the Deputy that a blind person aged between 18 and 20 years may normally be entitled under the Health Acts to a disabled person's maintenance allowance together with a blind person's welfare allowance if he has an adult dependant.
