Vol. 281 No. 12

Written Answers. - County Cork Old Age Pension.

250.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will now arrange for the payment of an old age pension to a person (name supplied) in County Cork and to have free travel sanctioned for her in her own right.

The person concerned was not qualified on age grounds for old age pension or free travel in her own right until the qualifying age for pension was lowered to 67 years from 1st April, 1975. A pension order book at the full pension rate, which is £8.85 a week since 4th April 1975, and a free travel pass were issued to her on 6th June, 1975.
