Vol. 285 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clare Piers.

36.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he has plans for the development of the piers at Liscannor, Doolin, Ballyvaughan and Kinvara.

I have no plans at present for the development of piers at any of the places mentioned.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary undertake to have somebody look at them? Would he not take the question as indicating that some attention is needed?

The question asks the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he has plans for the development of the piers at Liscannor, Doolin, Ballyvaughan and Kinvara and the answer is that there are no plans at present because the reports on the desirability of development are not too bright, to put it mildly.

Nobody is bothering about it.

We would be only too happy to discuss the position with Deputy Loughnane.

I can give the Minister the names of a few dozen harbours that we have written about.
