The question of freedom of movement for teachers was one of a number of aspects of educational policy which were considered by the Ministers of Education of member states of the EEC at meetings in November, 1971, and June, 1974.
There is an education committee, composed of representatives of the member States and the Commission, which are considering co-operative action in seven priority areas, one of which relates to freedom of movement and mobility of teachers. It is expected that this committee will finalise their report within a short time.
