A decision on whether or not to appoint a resident doctor in Ballyvourney is a matter for the Southern health Board. I understand that the board held discussions with representatives of the local community and are at present actively considering the case made for a resident doctor. They have not yet reached a decision on this issue but expect to be in a position to do so very soon.
