Vol. 288 No. 4

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

67.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will provide a telephone kiosk at the Killimer car ferry terminal, County Clare.

: The costs of providing and maintaining a kiosk at the place in question would, it is considered, far exceed likely receipts. Moreover, kiosks are not provided in rural areas where there is no post office. The erection of a kiosk at Killimer cannot therefore be favourably considered.

(Dublin Central) asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when an applicant in County Dublin (name supplied) can expect to have a telephone installed.

Within three months of completion by the estate developer of a section of roadway where cable needs to be laid to serve the applicant's premises.
