The review of medical cards is a continuous process rather than a periodic review as the question might suggest. The number of medical cards withdrawn during the period March, 1976, to February, 1977, in County Donegal was 1,038 and the number of cards issued was 3,284. It is not possible yet to give the actual number of persons covered by these medical cards but the numbers are approximately 2,180 and 6,900, respectively.
