I am informed by the Dublin Gas Company that negotiations are in progress with the trade unions aimed at improving flexibility in labour deployment leading, inter alia, to an improvement in the emergency service. Proposals for an improvement in the communications link with the Dublin Fire Brigade and the Garda have also been made.
