Vol. 303 No. 10

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 5 (Resumed). Private Members' Business, No. 10 by agreement, will be taken between 7 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.

I asked the Taoiseach last week for information about forthcoming legislation and he said he would communicate with me, which he has done, mentioning certain Bills. Can he indicate now when he expects to be able to circulate these Bills: the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Bill, the Health Contributions Bill, the Road Transport Bill and the Social Welfare Bill?

The Road Transport Bill tomorrow, the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Bill within two weeks—I cannot be more definite than that at the moment.

What is the position with regard to the Bill relating to social welfare contributions?

That will be within a few days. It is necessary for that Bill to be completed before the end of the session. I have another piece of information on a matter raised by the Deputy last week. He asked if the Bill dealing with value-added tax would be referred to a Special Committee. That will be done.
