Vol. 303 No. 10

Written Answers. - National Schools.

362.

asked the Minister for Education (a) if a regulation exists in his Department that not more than 45 pupils may be enrolled in any single class in a national school and (b) the grant that is available from his Department towards the installation of a telephone in a national school.

School authorities were advised by circular letter in May 1973, that in no instance should the enrolment in any one class exceed 45 pupils. My Department do not make any specific grant available towards the cost of installation of a telephone in a national school.
