asked the Minister for Education whether he is aware of the problems at Union Hall national school, County Cork; and if he will make a statement on the matter particularly in relation to (a) the need for proper toilet facilities, ventilation, lowering of ceilings and new floors and (b) the need for new furniture in the school owing to the presence of woodworm in the present furniture.

The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to report as to the improvement works considered necessary at this school. The reverend chairman of the board of management has been authorised to seek tenders for the supply of new furniture.
