With regard to Question No. 364 I would refer the Deputy to my reply on 17 November 1977, in relation to the matter of the appointment of remedial teachers (Question No. 33). The approximate expenditure on salaries of remedial teachers and the number of teachers employed in each of the school-years, that is 1973-74 to 1977-78 in national schools were as follows:
