I am pleased to be able to inform the Deputy that an index to the statutes covering the period from 1922 to the end of 1976 has been available from 7 February 1978.
All instruments adopted by the institutions of the European Communities are legally binding on the State. In some instances however, where the nature of our legislation requires a separate domestic instrument, regulations are made under section 3 of the European Communities Act, 1972. All such regulations are included in the recently published index mentioned.
