The fees chargeable in the various court offices, with the exception of fees chargeable in the Probate Office and in District Probate Registries, and percentages payable in the Office of Wards of Court, are being increased by approximately 77 per cent as from 8 March 1978.
The increased fees are expected to yield additional receipts of £500,000 in 1978. The last increase in court fees was in 1970 and the increases which are now being imposed take account of the general increase in costs which has occurred since then.
