A non-contributory old age pension at the maximum rate with effect from 23 December 1977 has been awarded by the decision of an appeals officer to the person concerned. The pension order book and arrears of pension were issued on 4 April 1978. The reason for the delay was that the appeals officer dealing with the appeal in the case had to await the stamping of a deed of transfer before giving his decision.
