The number of cases of brucellosis in humans notified to my Department in 1975 was 112, in 1976 154 and in 1977 162. From 1970-1977 the number of cases of brucellosis in humans notified increased by 305 per cent. The number of cases of tuberculosis in humans notified in 1975 was 1,148 and in 1976, 1,061. A final figure is not yet available for 1977.
From 1970-1976 the number of cases of tuberculosis in humans decreased by 25 per cent.
