Vol. 309 No. 3

Business of Dáil.

I move the Order for Second Stage of the Film Industry Bill, 1978, initiated by Deputies Kavanagh, Horgan and myself, and request that the Bill be transferred to Private Members' Time.

Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must under Standing Orders be taken in Private Members' Time. The motion is that it goes to Private Members' Time.

Question put and agreed to.

I would like to raise with the Taoiseach the question of time being given for discussion of item No. 58 on the Order Paper which is a motion in my name:

That notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, Government Bills and Private Members' Bills shall have a second reading without an order having to be made by the Dáil.

I appreciate that the Taoiseach will not have had time to consider this motion which is on the Order Paper. I wish to give him notice that I will be asking him in due course when he will give time to consideration of that motion.

Note is duly taken thereof.
