asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that the pupils of Rosscarbery Convent of Mercy School, Cork, have been deprived of any school bus during the present term owing to the illness of the driver; and if he will arrange to have this situation rectified.

I am aware that the school services to Rosscarbery have not been satisfactory during the current term up to 25 January 1979, inclusive, for reasons connected mainly with recent industrial disputes in CIE. I am advised that the services have operated normally from 26 January 1979.
