asked the Minister for Education the progress which has been made in finding a satisfactory arrangement to meet the transport needs of children attending the Edenifeagh National School, County Donegal; and if, in view of the continuing school strike, he will direct that the reasonable claims of the parents be met without further delay.

The investigations to which I referred in reply to Questions Nos. 4 and 5 of 12 December 1978 have since been completed. Following consideration of the report on these investigations, I have authorised CIE to introduce an arrangement with effect from 29 January 1979 which, I hope, will prove satisfactory to all the interests concerned.
I propose to raise on the adjournment the imminent danger of the loss of a substantial number of jobs in Donegal town in the Irish Picture Mouldings Ltd. factory.
