The strength of specialised units like the Drug Squad is a matter for decision from time to time by the Garda authorities in the light of overall resources and requirements. They consider that the existing strength of the squad is sufficient to deal with present problems and they do not propose to increase it at the moment. The matter will, however, be kept under review.
