Legislative provision for the accountability of the Industrial Development Authority for expenditure of public funds is contained in paragraph 8 of the Second Schedule to the Industrial Development Act, 1969.
There are numerous provisions in the Industrial Development Act relating to my authority over the activities generally of the IDA. I would refer the Deputy in particular to sections 5, 11 (i), 17 (1) and (2), 20, 24, 26 (6), 27, 28, 29, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 42, 44 of the Industrial Development Act, 1969 and to sections 2 (ii) and 9 in the Second Schedule to that Act.
